Lighting Deal:Global investment firm KKR has agreed to pay US$794 million for a 70% stake in Hong Kong-listed NVC Lighting Holding, reports Bloomberg. Headquartered in Huizhou, NVC Lighting has a “brand value” of RMB32.695 billion, first in the country’s lighting industry.

Power Research:Shenzhen’s Power Supply Bureauis investing more than RMB2 billion in R&D over the next three years, focused on the GBA and especially supporting Hong Kong. Readmore.

We Love Customs:Guangzhou Customs has launched an applet on WeChat, China’s billion user social networking app, to facilitate customs declarations, the first measure of its kind in China.
