Japan-Macau Flights:Air Macau is now flying twice daily to Tokyo’s Narita airport. It is also planning to increase frequency of its Macau-Osaka route to twice daily. Read more.

Rail Links:All 15 stations of the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway are complete, with the line set to open on September 30. The 76km line is the first intercity railway to directly connect Guangzhou with the Shenzhen airport. Read more.

Professional Qualifications:Guangdong and Macau are studying the possibility of recognizing each other’s professional qualification certificates, according to Chen Yiwei, director general of the Guangdong Department of Human Resources and Social Security. Read more.

Aussie Property:An A$23 million (US$16 million) fund for property start-ups, backed by the Australian government, is seeking to bring technology-led innovation and solutions to markets in Asia-Pacific, including the Greater Bay Area. Read more. 

Shenzhen Sponge:By 2030, 80% of Shenzhen’s land mass will reach the standards of a “sponge city,” which measures a city’s water ecosystem, water safety, water environment and water resources. Read more.
