Qianhai resumes: Work has resumed on all 95 construction projects in Shenzhen’s special zone of Qianhai. This year, work is expected to be finished on several major projects, including the Qianhai International Conference Center, Bauhinia Garden Phase Two and Guiwan Park, while work “will accelerate on the construction of international schools and hospitals”. HZMB handles e-commerce: Guangdong is now processing cross-border e-commerce exports through the Zhuhai Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. The system is apparently quick, as approvals are done in batches rather than holding up each shipment. SCN. 

Big 3 in Yantian: Shenzhen’s Yantian district has managed to get the city’s three IT giants to form a consortium for turning the district into a “smart city”. Tencent will focus on industrial parks, Pin An on the shipping industry, and Huawei on upgrading companies’ IT capabilities. It is believed to be the first time the three have collaborated. SCN.

Shenzhen fast on 5G: Shenzhen is expected to have full 5G coverage across the entire city by the end of August. SZN.

Guangzhou property stirs: Guangzhou’s property market is coming back to life, with a big plot of land sold recently in Panyu giving a lift to confidence. The saleable floor price was 64,600 yuan per sqm, a new record. The site includes the future campus of South China University of Technology. Leju.
