Tehran Flights:Mahan Air inaugurated a direct flight between Shenzhen and Tehran this week. It will fly from Tehran to Shenzhen every Monday and Thursday at 9.15 pm while every Wednesday and Sunday Shenzhen to Tehran at 11.10pm. Read more. 

HK Visitors Surge: Visitors to Hong Kong surged 19.7% in Q1 thanks to the High-speed Railway and the HZMB. Real-estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield says this has boosted landlords in Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok as retail rentals have risen. Read more. 

Huawei Tops:Shenzhen’s Huawei Technologies tops the list of the 50 Smartest Companies in the World, an annual accolade created by the MIT Technology Review. Five other Shenzhen-based companies, including Ping An, Tencent, DJI, SF Express and UB Tech are also on the list. Read more.

Shenzhen Grows:Shenzhen recorded 43,277 newly registered commercial entities in May, about 90.9% of which were in the services industry. Read more.

Macau Grows:Macau’s gross gaming revenue was MOP23,812 billion patacas (US$2.96 billion) in June, up 5.9% from a year earlier and surprising most analysts that had expected flat to negative growth. Read more.
