The business environment of Guangzhou’s Nansha special economic zone improved last year, especially in indicators such as starting a business and enforcing contracts, according to a KPMG report released this week.
The report assessed business regulations and their enforcement across 190 economies and selected cities. Nansha’s business environment looks set to rank 29th worldwide based on KPMG’s assessment, reports News Guangdong.
This improvement can be attributed to a variety of measures Nansha implemented to reduce time and cost in resolving business problems. For example, the district simplified application procedures, lowered application thresholds and strengthened infrastructure.
