Japanese firm puts RMB2bn into Nansha plant

Denso Corporation, a Fortune 500 automotive components manufacturer from Japan, is investing RMB2 billion into a new 100,000 sqm production plant in Guangzhou’s Nansha district.

Denso first set up in Nansha in 2004, as a wholly foreign-owned company. It currently has 2,000 employees, mainly engaged in the production and operation of automobile vehicle engine control systems, filters, amplifiers, chassis control systems, equipment and molds.

The new plant will focus on products for new energy vehicles and smart vehicles as well as building a production line for vehicle components, plus a QA center and logistics center.
