The Foshan campus of the UK-based Lady Eleanor Holles School is set for completion by the end of the year. According to the director of the education bureau in Foshan’s Chanchen district, Zeng Xiongfeng, the prestigious all-girls school was built with an investment of RMB300 million. It will have 30 classes, catering to 800 students, and offer boarding. It plans to recruit 130 teachers, of which 70 will be coming from overseas.
A project spokesperson said that the government hopes to offer quality international curriculum to the children of foreign professionals working in Foshan, while at the same time cultivating Chinese students with an international vision.
